Biography
Monika Dubinkaite is an artist, photographer, and art director working in the genre of still life. Her practice is shaped by a fascination with structure, balance, and the subtle tension between order and chaos. Drawing inspiration from the principles of the Bauhaus movement, she strives to find harmony through precise compositions, bold color relationships, and a meticulous attention to form.
Having moved frequently throughout her life, her work naturally reflects themes of memory, identity, and belonging. Each composition is a meditation on the fleeting sense of stability and the visual language we create to anchor ourselves in ever-changing surroundings.
For Monika, photography is a way of constructing moments of quiet clarity — scenes that feel poised yet fragile, like they could dissolve at any second. She approaches each image as if building a structure: balancing shapes, light, and shadow to create a sense of order within the unpredictable.
Her long-term projects have been showcased at national and international exhibitions and festivals.
Beyond her personal practice, she collaborates with fashion brands and magazines as an artist and art director, developing distinctive concepts and meticulously crafted visual narratives.
